Media technology, content, and user expectations seem to change daily.  At the University of St. Francis Communication & Media Arts Department, we can keep you hooked into new technologies and points of view about what “media” are.  We also teach you to write, design, produce and perform effectively for audiences’, clients’ and organization’s benefit.

Our courses ground you in the basics, cut across various media disciplines, and address the complexity of converging technologies, economies, and audiences. Our media organizations operate under student control for real-world learning experiences every day—plenty of chances to build your professional portfolio!   And internships, whether local, in Chicago, or around the nation, give you the chance to work with seasoned media professionals in the workplace. As a CMMA student you will:

  • Learn useful sets of skills transferrable to any industry.
  • Get experience and internships in a location that the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics ranks in, "the 90th percentile for highest paid wage estimates across the country."
  • Gain real-world knowledge anywhere from local businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
  • Grow under the guidance of distinguished teaching faculty.

Check out our site to see what our faculty is thinking and this page, in particular, to get a glimpse of what our students do; it is what you could  be doing as a Comm-Arts major at the University of St. Francis.

Welcome!

"Love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life."
